Water Treatment & Filtration

Watercare are filter specialists… we have designed, built and refurbished multiple types of filter systems ranging from simple slow sand filters (SSF) and rapid gravity filters (RGF) to complex pressure filters, demineralisation bank filters and high pressure reverse osmosis plants. Most of our clients filters have been established for many years and are functioning as best as possible with the yester years designs, methods and technologies… Watercare look to improve efficiency and sustainability using new and improved technologies.

Chemical Process Handling & Storage

Watercare carry out storage & day tank installations including bunding for small standalone supply units through to large tanks farms. Our specialist engineers are experienced in tunrkey operations and provide the storage area loading calulations, the bund creation from a range of substrates, such as concrete, steel and lined products. Watercare also carry out the manufacture, full installation and testing of chemical transfer pipelines using most materials, such as, lined steel, stainless steel, PVC, ABS, PP, HDPE.

Rubber Lining & Coatings

Watercare are able to rubber line, cover or coat steel substrates of any shape for any application utilising our many grades of sheet rubber. Our operatives carry out the full substrate inspection, surface preparation by shotblasting to SA2.5 followed by the full surface covering with rubber to the substrate and then vulcanising to provide excellent adhesion / protection. All linings are then electrically spark tested post cure. Watercare line for both chemcial resistance or abrasion protection and carry a full suite of rubber, such as, Soft Natural Rubbers, Ebonites, Butyls, Nitriles, EPDM’s and White Food grades.

Design & Fabrications

Watercare have a fully fitted machine and fabrication facility in our Great Missenden factory. Our engineering facility offers full CAD design and carries out a wide range of fabrications for the water utility and petro-chem sectors. Our facility is an all type welding shop with CNC machines and a full suite of fabrication tooling / equipment. Watercare can fabricate most structures upto a capacity of 5 tonnes per unit and work with all materials, such as, steel, stainless steel, alloys, plastics and GRP.

Civil Engineering & Construction

Watercare’s minor civils division mainly carry out works for our utility clients. Our works invlove GPR Scans and Avoidance Surveys to ensure we keep our 100% safe excavating record. Watercare undertake works to include, cable trenches / ducting, chambers, metering pits, base slabs, retaining walls, pathways, security camera post and expoloratory survey excavations. Watercare also undertake small access roadways of various surfaces, such as compact layered Type 1, concrete or Tarmac roads with markings and kerb stone edging.

Confined Spaces & Rescue Teams

Watercare undertake works in hazardous areas and as such are all confined spaces trained to C&G level 3 for high risk working and rescue team provision. Our tasks involve entry and works inside vessels, filters, water pipes and any CS controlled area which requires specialist entry. Watercare provide our clients with a full CS safety initial assessement, generate SSoW and rescue plans before finally carrying out the works or controlling the confined spaces for other specilaist.

Shotblasting & Paint Coating

Watercare have a fully enclosed shotblasting facility capable of shot blast cleaning the smallest of items up to large treatment vessels. Our blast facility uses a range of abrasive media such as, G17 steel shot, Alluminium Oxide, J-Blast or Sand. Once a substrate has been blast cleaned it will be dry air blown and then either primed for rubber lining or painting. Watercare painting capabilites range from simple hand coating to single and 2pack epoxy coatings as well as chlorinated rubber paints.
